15+ Damn Good Chicken Sandwiches You Absolutely Have To Check Out

Stop wasting your time in line in the drive-thru or wishing you weren’t craving a chicken sando from that place on a Sunday. Food is meant to make your life enjoyable and not stressful. So if you’re looking for the ultimate list of local chicken sandwiches you can support without feeling guilty, waiting in line or whatever other excuses you can come up with- this is the list to keep in your back pocket when your bro is hungry- now! Here’s the list of all the chicken sandos I complied in San Antonio to satisfy all your munchies.

Cullum's Attagirl

Things to Know

Two kinds of Sandos: Original and Nashville Hot. You don’t need options you need a cold beer and a hot sando. Most things are under $10, they’re closed on Mondays.

Cured at the Pearl

Things to Know

Taking on the tradition of a Friday Fry, Cured’s added a chicken sammie to the menu topped with habanero mayo and Blue Ribbon Cheese. The only caveat- it’ll only be available Friday’s til 6pm. They also have a $15 fried chicken meal which is fire- if you’re low carb.

Chi Chi Birds Hot Chicken

Things to Know

You’re going to have to wait before I tell you anything else. These sandos require patience. This is Nashville Hot Chicken but you’re able to order it in the following heats: plain, mild, medium, hot, x hot, ghost, and reaper. The slaw will blow your mind- just know that.

Things to Know 

This pop-up has been hitting the streets pretty hard. They’re huge, they’re filling and from what I Know super satisfactory. A wide selection of choices too!

The Hut

Things to Know

Diner food is magic but so is having Chicken Sandwich options. If you’re looking for a crunch get the Erins Favorite Chicken Sandwich- they put it in Texas Toast- enough said. And if you have health-conscious folks there several grilled chicken options.

Fattboy Burgers

Things to Know

These are grilled- but it’s a chicken sando. The chicken is marinated and never frozen.

Benjie’s Munch

Things to Know

I’ll say this now this is one of my favorite spots to get a quick bite! They have three options, crispy, grilled and blackened.

Things to Know

This is the spot to just eat and drink and have fun! It’s 21+ so if you got kiddos- take it to go!

Things to Know

So while they have the option to replace any burger with chicken or order a grilled chicken sando. They also have raspas and snacks.

It’s a buffalo chicken sandwich- but trust me it’s worth it. They also have fire chicken and waffles. Just know that.
