Here’s where we need every advantage possible and while I’d love to gate keep, I can’t. So I’m sharing how I have access to most if not all presale codes that allow me (and now you) to secure tickets before the general public. Here are my 7 ways to find presale codes for sites like Ticketmaster, LiveNation, Seated and other venue specific codes.

Dive into Email Lists: Bands like The Killers and Vampire Weekend understand the power of email. Sign up for their official mailing lists and be the first to snag presale codes delivered straight to your inbox. Sometimes these codes are unique to you also in case someone is selling the presale code.

Text Me Up! Text message presales are becoming increasingly popular. I snagged Blink-182 tickets with a text code and now they occasionally send me memes. Explore this option for upcoming concerts. Follow the artist's instructions to join their text subscriber list.

Social Media Savvy: Be their biggest fan online! When your favorite artists (like Tokyo Police Club!) announce a tour on social media, keep your eyes peeled for presale code drops. Those captions are prime real estate for announcements. In that same line sometimes you can find the presale codes on places like X (formally Twitter) fans will tweet out the code— check that search for possibilities. The last social media option is through their Patreon or Discord groups— bands like the Revivalists dropped their presale code for their tour on their Patreon and Fall Out Boy sent theirs out on their Discord.

Don't Forget the Venue: Venues can be your secret weapon! Follow your favorite concert halls and local music spots on social media. They often share exclusive presale codes for shows they host.

Ticketing Powerhouses: Live Nation, Ticketmaster, or whoever's selling the tickets – sign up for their alerts!These platforms frequently send out presale codes, sometimes with a yearly theme that can work for multiple bands.

Your presale code might be your credit card number, available through log in though your credit card or you might get a code emailed to you (though the last option is more rare.) Some issuers even offer presale codes as part of their rewards program. If you're already a cardholder, it's definitely worth exploring this benefit. The catch is that you might have to use your credit card to check out so make sure you have room for the charge. Just remember, even with a presale code, tickets can go fast. Be prepared to act quickly when the presale window opens!
