hi! i’m gabby and welcome to san antonio lovelist, a blog about the best food, best treats, and best experiences in san antonio. I have a background in photography, music journalism, copy editing and writing; and now i have a place to share them with you. i believe that kismet leads to the unknown and that kismet lead you to me. i hope you find what you’re looking for in the little pieces I have for you.
music is a huge part of my life. i was gifted a book: 1000 albums you must hear before you die, a couple years ago and have decided to showcase my experience in listening to them. taking each album and seeing how it impacts my life. i should also mention now that I have a condition or gift called synesthesia and that’s why music is so important.
also, i’m going to include things about san antonio, the city where i live. recipes, photography, and travel will round out the blog to add some more balance. but between you and me i’m going to cover all your best san antonio foodie needs. you’ll never go hungry again. ok, maybe you’ll feel hungry during the page but as a true san antonionian you’ll have access to a whole assortment of food in the countdown city.
i would like to show you that there’s more to life that the expectations set to us by society. i describe myself as a rule-bender, biophile and sometimes funny and believe that’s how you’ll get through life in the best way.
if you’d like to collaborate or sweep me up and use my craftiness i should let you know the technical stuffs now. i have a degree in english from the university of texas at san antonio with a concentration in creative writing; with some of my writings featured on the music blog, punchland.com and the local alt-weekly website, sacurrent.com. if you want to make sure I’m not just making stuff up you can head onto my works page and browse through the links.
