The 9 Best Brunch Spots in San Antonio

Magnolia Pancake Haus Brunch

Magnolia Pancake Haus

Medical Center + Embassy Oaks

American

Bonus they have two locations in San Antonio, one on Huebner Rd and the other by Embassy Oaks Shopping Center. Not so bonus- they’re can both get really packed. Magnolia Pancake Haus is obviously known for its world-famous pancakes. They have anything from your classic buttermilk pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, to some delicious pecan pancakes. If you’re a pancake lover, this is the spot for you. Unfortunately, they do not take reservations. So I would try to get there early before the church crowd. They do have a waitlist though- click here to get on the waitlist for Magnolia Pancake Haus Embassy Oaks and click here to get on the waitlist for Magnolia Pancake House Medical Center.

What to get: I cannot stress this enough get the Magnolia’s Old World Buttermilk Pancakes, the Bacon Pancakes, the Corned Beef Hash AND the Southern Bennie. Don’t know how you’re going to eat it all- but trust me.

The Rustic San Antonio Brunch

The Rustic

The Rim
New Southern

Need a place for brunch but have a big family? The Rustic is a perfect place for a lovely Sunday family-style brunch. Their huge patio is a great place to hang out with the family and chats for a while. Also, let’s talk about portions. The Rustics’ potions are huge!! You definitely get your money's worth when it comes to food, not to mention it is so delicious! I recommend trying the Chorizo Empanadas to start and then the triple chop pork chop as your main. Back to what I said about portions, this thing is massive. Like almost the size of my head, not really but really lol. If you order that, you could definitely share it with 5-6 people! Their Sunday family brunch is served just like that, family-style.

What to order: Get the Chorizo Empanadas and the Texas Goat Cheese- perfect to nibble on while you wait for your massive breakfast. Remember you’re planning on camping here for a while.

A small hole in the wall located on the Southside but boy is it good. Texas Toast is known for its delicious chicken and waffles which are Texas shaped! Also, they have amazing special vegetable omelets for you vegetarians. This place always has the friendliest staff and the fastest service. Their butter is also flower-infused and is pink, how cute! Though their menu is small, everyone is bound to find something that they are going to love.

Attached to the Emma Hotel, is this beautiful rustic brewery inspired restaurant. Southerleigh is so elegant and timeless looking. The ambiance is very inviting and so is the food. Their brunch runs from Saturday to Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm. That menu includes anything from steak and eggs to seafood towers. Definitely a little more pricey of a restaurant, but it is a perfect spot to people watch and enjoy your meal.

A cute little spot located on Houston St. Rosella at the Rand is such a gorgeous restaurant. Like really, the interior is so classy and all the furniture complements each other well. They have a good set brunch menu that includes everyone's favorites like eggs benedict, avocado toast, and chicken and waffles. They also have a nice cocktail list with drinks like bloody marys and mimosas. The food here is always so fresh and delicious. They also have free parking which is another plus! Guenther House Brunch

The Guenther House

Southtown

American/TexMex

Take a walk into the past here at The Guenther House. Located at the Pioneer Flour Mills, The Guenther House is pure elegance. The building is still part of a function factory that produces cake and baking flour. The whole scenery looks like something out of a movie and is definitely a beautiful spot to dress up and take pictures at. Items such as the 1851 Breakfast Platter and the Strawberry Sweet Cream Waffles are some of my personal favorites. Also, make sure to go to the website and place your name on the waitlist prior to your arrival because it does get packed. Click here to get on the Guenther House waitlist.

What to order: Everything tbh but always order baked goods to go!
